Wyatt Thompson

Hastings resident Wyatt L. J. Thompson, 43, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Services are 11 a.m. Friday, February 22, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Pastor Brett Mackey officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the family (Ty Thompson & Kendra Harper) for funeral expenses. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday with family present, and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Wyatt was born July 2, 1975, in Winner, SD to Ty & Bonnie (Frank) Thompson. He received his GED and welding certificates. Wyatt was previously employed as a maintenance mechanic for Centennial Plastics in Hastings and was a pipefitter for over 20 years for the local Union 464.

Wyatt loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing. He especially enjoyed tinkering with things. Wyatt had a heart of gold and enjoyed making others laugh. He was a good Christian man.

Wyatt was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie, and sister, Chantelle Thompson.
