Alberta Sittner

Hastings resident, Alberta C. 'Bert' Sittner, 84, of Perkins Pavilion, died Friday, January 2, 2009 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Wednesday, January 7, 2009; 1:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Harold D. Stromer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, January 5, 2009; 5PM-9PM, Tuesday, January 6, 2009; 9AM-9Pm with family present from 6PM-8PM and Wednesday, January 7, 2009; 9AM until service time. Memorials may be given to Heartland Pet Connection or Shrine Crippled Children Transportation Fund.

Mrs. Sittner was born March 27, 1924 in Adams County, Nebraska to Frederick & Eva (Maul) Schriner. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1942 and married Jacob Philip Sittner, Jr. on December 25, 1942 in Hastings. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2005. She worked at K-B Ice Cream Company with her father. She was a lifetime area resident and a past member of Eagles, American Legion and V.F.W. Auxiliaries.

Mrs. Sittner was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Robert Schriner.
