Hastings resident, Alfred A. Hemberger, 77, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska.
Rosary will be Wednesday, March 3, 2010; 8:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel, and Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 4, 2010; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hastings with Father Michael Houlihan and Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 2, 2010; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 3, 2010; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. at Livingston-Butler-Volland Funeral Home, and 1 hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Michael's Catholic Church or Knights of Columbus.
Alfred was born March 21, 1932 in Holstein, Nebraska to Frank & Angela (Parr) Hemberger. On September 28, 1963, he married Arbie E. Goos at Assumption Catholic Church in Assumption, Nebraska. He was a truck driver for Consolidated Concrete and retired in 2003. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Men's Club at St. Michael's Catholic Church, and helped with St. Michael's Bingo.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents and infant sister.
