Hastings resident, Alice Roth, 76 , Perkins Pavilion, died Monday, January 10, 2005 at Perkins Pavilion

Rosary will be Wednesday, January 12, 2005; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, January 13, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, all in Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Roth was born March 25, 1928 in Lexington, Nebraska to Joy & Louise (Lesh) Berquist. Her father Joy Berquist died when Alice was fourteen and she was raised by her mother and step-father Louis Hanne. She graduated from Lexington High School and attended Hastings College in the Music Department. She traveled with the Hastings College Music Department and sang the Contralto part of G. F. Handel's Messiah. She married Francis H. Roth on January 24, 1948 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on October 27, 1997. She worked at Rex Haberman's Studio and DeMars Distributing as a bookkeeper. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Altar Society and a past member of the church Adult Choir.

Alice Roth was preceded in death by her parents, step-father, Louis Hanne and her husband Francis H. Roth.

Brother: William J. Berquist - Minneapolis, MN

Memorial may be given to Hastings Catholic Schools Trust or Hastings College Music Department

VISITATION: Tue. 1-11-05 5pm-9pm
Wed. 1-12-05 9am-9pm
Thur. 1-13-05 1 hour prior to service at St. Cecilia's
