Alma Lindeen

Hastings resident, Alma Jean Lindeen, 77, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at College View Memory Support, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, January 9, 2017; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Mel Johnson. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to Alma Jean Lindeen Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date. Visitation will be Sunday, January 8, 2017; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Alma was born December 24, 1939 to Homer & Letha Ellen (Faught) Eakins in Rector, Arkansas. She attended school in Cashion, Arizona and Tellenson, Arizona. Alma married Lee Lindeen on May 20, 1955.

In 1966 they moved from Fairbury, Nebraska to Hastings, Nebraska. In 1979 they moved to Manhattan, Kansas and Omaha and then moved back to Hastings in 1990. She was a stay at home mom to her five children, Lee Jr., Ann, Ilene, Amy, and Tim. In every aspect of her daily life, her love of the Lord was evident by her dedication to her church and family. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; three sisters; and two infant sisters; and an infant grandson.
