Former Hastings resident, Almer L. Thorson, 94, died Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at Nebraska Veterans Home, Grand Island, Nebraska.
Memorial service will be Tuesday, October 10, 2006; 2:00 P.M. at Franzen-Davis Funeral Home, Livingston, Montana. Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens, Livingston, Montana. No viewing or visitation.
Mr. Thorson was born June 16, 1912 in Warren, Minnesota to George & Blanche (Nelson) Thorson. He married Jessie Viola Turner on June 20, 1944 in Brady, Texas and she preceded him in death on July 4, 2005. He served in the United States Army during WWII. They moved from Livingston, Montana to Hastings, Nebraska in 2003. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge & American Legion, all in Livingston, Montana.
Mr. Thorson was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Jessie Viola Thorson, two brothers and three sisters.
