Alvin Hahlweg

Hastings resident, Alvin E. Hahlweg, 91, of 5205 West Hwy 6, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at The Villa, Good Samaritan Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Tuesday, June 6, 2006; 10:30 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Dan Heuer officiating. Burial with Military Rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Hahlweg was born May 8, 1915 in Adams County, Nebraska to August & Hulda (Einspahr) Hahlweg. He attended Zion Lutheran School and was a Sergeant in the United States Army during WWII in the Pacific Theater from July 14, 1941 until September 23, 1945. He farmed all his life west of Hastings on the family farm. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

Mr. Hahlweg was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Ella Hahlweg and a brother, Harley Hahlweg.
