Alvin Paus

Spring Ranch resident, Alvin G. Paus, 86, died Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at his home at Spring Ranch.

Services will be Saturday, February 21, 2009; 10:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with Pastor Jeff Glawe officiating. Burial will be in Glenvil Cemetery, both in Glenvil, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, February 21, 2009; 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil.

Mr. Paus was born March 9, 1922 to George & Dora (Riese) Paus at Spring Ranch in Clay County, Nebraska. He attended country school at Spring Ranch and graduated from Glenvil High School in 1940. He married Alice Saathoff on April 28, 1943 at her parent's home. He was a farmer and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil. He was on the church council, building committee, Clay County Board and other committees. He and his wife lived at the Good Samaritan Village for nine years before returning to Spring Ranch.
