Ambrose Mitchell, 90, of 301 E. 4th, Hastings, Nebraska, died Sunday, October 12, 2003 at Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.
Rosary will be Tuesday, October 14, 2003; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, October 15, 2003; 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be Wednesday, October 15, 2003; 2:30 P.M. at St. Gregory's Cemetery, Marysville, Kansas.
Ambrose Mitchell was born February 12, 1913 in St. Bridget, Kansas to Thomas A. & Anna (Farrell) Mitchell. He married J. Pearl Misner on August 26, 1944 in Seneca, Kansas and she preceded him in death on October 23, 1998. He moved to Hastings, Nebraska from Marysville, Kansas in 1944. He was a conductor for the Union Pacific railroad and a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and U.T.U. He loved his job, hunting pheasants and the horse races in Grand Island, Nebraska.
Ambrose Mitchell was preceded in death by his parents, wife J. Pearl and a son James Dean Mitchell.
