Anita Niederhaus

October 4, 1946 — November 17, 2001

Former Hastings resident, Anita K. (Morrison) Niederhaus, 55 of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, died Saturday, November 17, 2001 at her home.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, May 8, 2002; 1:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Dr. Sam Rathod officiating. Interment will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Anita K. Niederhaus was born October 4, 1946 to Charles W. & Mollie (Lee) Morrison in rural Phillips County, Kansas. She attended Pleasant Valley School and graduated from Phillipsburg High School in Phillipsburg, Kansas in 1964. She then worked at Kansas Nebraska Natural Gas Co. On February 18, 1967, she married Jerry Niederhaus at Englewood Wesleyan Church near Phillipsburg. They lived in Hastings and she worked at the First National Bank. She and her family moved to Grand Island in 1976 where she worked for Nash Finch Food Distributors. In 1986, they moved to Lake Havasu City, where she worked for Henry & Horn Accounting, Midwest Financial and the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of St. Michael's United Methodist Church and its Monday prayer group, evening women's group and Stephen Ministry. She was a scout leader and Sunday school teacher. She received two achievement awards while working for the postal service.

Brothers & Sister-in-law: Ron & Beverly Morrision - Phillipsburg, KS
Gary Morrison - Phillipsburg, KS
Sister & Brother-in-law: Jolinda & David Miller - Lakewood, CO
Many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives & friends
