Anita Petersen

Hastings resident, Anita Petersen, 70, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her home.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, August 25, 2012; 11:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. There will be no viewing or visitation. Book signing will be Thursday, August 23, 2012; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. and Friday, August 24, 2012; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Anita was born July 24, 1942 in Red Cloud, Nebraska to Ray & Susie (McCauley) Frye. She graduated from Hastings High School. Anita married Harlan R. Petersen on April 29, 1961 in Hastings. She worked at Central Community College as a baker in the cafeteria. Anita enjoyed bowling, going to the Eagles Club, and traveling to Las Vegas. The family asks that those attending services to dress in casual attire.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and one sister.
