Ann Johnson

Hastings resident, Ann Johnson, 85, of 616 South Chicago, died Sunday, July 27, 2008 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Rosary will be Wednesday, July 30, 2008; 7:00 P.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, July 31, 2008; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 29, 2008; 5:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 30, 2008; 9:00 A.M.-5:00 P.M. at the funeral home, Wednesday, July 30, 2008; 1 hr. prior to rosary at the church and Thursday, July 31, 2008; 1 hr. prior to mass at the church. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Hospice.

Mrs. Johnson was born April 19, 1923 in Ivanhoe, Minnesota to Bollie & Marie (Tomasczewski) Parulski. On June 26, 1943, she married Vernon Johnson in Wilno, Minnesota and he preceded her in death on August 10, 1983. They moved to Hastings in 1952 and worked at the Naval Ammunition Depot. She also worked in housekeeping for Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She loved working in her flower garden and treasured her family.

Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Sandy & Kathy Johnson; son, Dennis Johnson; husband, Vernon; sisters, Clem Janssen, Irene Jerzak and Lillian Johnson; brothers, Walter, Norbert & Leonard Parulski.
