Anna Bott

Hastings resident Anna M. Bott, 95, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2020, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Rosary is 9:45 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 21, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings with Father Christopher Kubat and Father Thomas Brouillette officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation is one hour prior to service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.

Anna was born April 12, 1924, in Stuart, NE to John & Mary (Wewel) Miksch. She graduated from eighth grade in May 1937 from country school. May 1940 she dropped out of high school and moved to Hastings in 1945 and began working for LT&T in December 1945 until she retired in October 1982 working 37 years with the company. After retiring from LT&T she began upholstery work at home for 25 years.

Anna married Ernest Bott on November 3, 1945, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings; he preceded her in death on February 12, 1979. She was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and Crosier Apostolate.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Miksch; husband, Ernest Bott; sisters, Gertrude Bott, Helen Schantz, Delores Malone, Mary Batterman, and brother, Martin Miksch.
