Anna Kathman

Former Hastings resident, Anna F. Kathman, 81, of SilverRidge Assisted Living Community, Gretna, Nebraska, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at SilverRidge.

Rosary service will be Friday, April 11, 2003; 7:45 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 12, 2003; 10:00 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Anna F. Kathman was born May 1, 1921 in Winnett, Montana to Carl & Ada (Byford) Schmidt. She married George A. Kathman on May 19, 1942 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Helena, Montana. They moved to a farm south of Lawrence, Nebraska where they farmed until their retirement in 1979 and then moved into Hastings, Nebraska. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and the Altar Society before moving to SilverRidge Assisted Living Community in Gretna.

Anna F. Kathman was preceded in death by her husband, George on October 15, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Virginia Jablonski.
