Arlette Young

Kenesaw resident, Arlette M. (Stromer) Young, 87, passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at Premier Estates, Kenesaw, Nebraska.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to Grand Island Veterans Home. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Arlette was born February 28, 1928 in Hastings, Nebraska to Riley Galen Watson & Eva (Brinkley) Richardson. She graduated in 1945 from Hastings High School. She married Simon Stromer in 1949; three children were born Janice, James and Sharon. Arlette remarried Johnny Young in 1976. Prior to working at Hoff Cleaners she was a mother and homemaker. She was an avid reader and loved working on crossword puzzles.

Arlette was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Johnny Young; sister, Dana Lovejoy; and two brothers, William "Billy" Watson & Riley Robert "Bob" Watson.
