Arthur Schifferns

Arthur H. Schifferns, 97, of Roseland, Nebraska, died Sunday, February 15, 2004 at Perkins Pavilion.

Rosary will be Tuesday, February 17, 2004; 7:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Roseland, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, February 18, 2004; 10:00 A.M. also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Thomas Au officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Assumption, Nebraska.

Mr. Schifferns was born February 28, 1906 in Adams County, Nebraska to Peter & Margaret (Bohr) Schifferns, Jr. He married Marie A. Seyler on August 19, 1947 in Assumption Catholic Church. He farmed for a number of years in the Roseland area and later owned and operated a gas station in Roseland and held numerous other jobs before retiring in 1982. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseland, Knights of Pythias and a past member of the Eagles.

Mr. Schifferns was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers, three sisters, a son, Vincent and a step grandson, Jonathon Craft.
