Hastings resident, Arthur G. Schroer, 93, of 3309 W. 7th St., died June 3, 2002 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.
Rosary service will be Wednesday, June 5, 2002; 8:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of the Resurrection will be Thursday, June 6, 2002; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be Thursday, June 6, 2002; 2:00 P.M. at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Lawrence, Nebraska.
Arthur G. Schroer was born February 5, 1909 in Nuckolls County, Nebraska near Mt. Clare, Nebraska to Herman & Anne (Gilsdorf) Schroer. On June 1, 1936, he married Lillian Kotinek at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lawrence, Nebraska. They farmed in the Spring Ranch area until moving to Hastings, Nebraska in 1966. He was then employed at the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center near Hastings until his retirement. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, the Men's Club and Catholic Order of Foresters.
Arthur G. Schroer was preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandson 2 great granddaughters, 2 brothers and a sister.
