Arthur Swanstrom

Hastings resident, Arthur E. Swanstrom, 98, of The Villa, died Friday, May 4, 2007 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Tuesday, May 8, 2007; 11:00 A.M at All Saints Chapel, Good Samaritan Village, with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Nora Cemetery, Nora, Nebraska. Visitation will be Sunday, May 6, 2007; 5PM-9PM, Monday, May 7, 2007; 9AM-9PM, at the funeral home & Tuesday, May 8, 2007; 1 hr. prior to service at All Saints Chapel. Memorials may be given to Good Samaritan Village, All Saints Chapel.

Mr. Swanstrom was born December 27, 1908 in Nora, Nebraska to Emil & Ida (Carlson) Swanstrom. He married Edna Kapperman on June 19, 1937 in Mankato, Kansas and she preceded him in death on August 8, 1997. He retired from farming in 1983 and moved to Hastings, Nebraska from Oak. He was a former Free Mason in Nelson, Nebraska.

Mr. Swanstrom was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Edna, son, Elroy Swanstrom, four brothers and five sisters.
