Aubrey M. Stevenson, 82, of 811 Madden Rd, #1, died Sunday, May 6, 2001 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Requiem Eucharist will be Tuesday, May 8, 2001; 2:00 P.M. at St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral with the Very Rev. Richard Martindale officiating. Committal will be in All Souls Chapel, Saint Mark's Pro-Cathedral.

Aubrey M. Stevenson was born May 9, 1918 to Curvee M. & Mabel E. (Easterly) Stevenson in Pueblo, Colorado. He graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a degree in Business Administration and was a member of Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity. He attended Navy Flight school in Oakland, California and graduated as an Ensign in Corpus Christi, Texas. In 1943, he married Patricia Rosenbaum in Hastings, Nebraska. He served 2 tours of duty as a Patrol Plane commander in the South Pacific. He was discharged as a Lieutenant Senior Grade. He joined his father-in-law in business in Hastings and became involved in many community and civic activities before becoming Business Manager at Hastings College. He was a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce and named Outstanding Young Man of the Year in 1950. He served as Treasurer at Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois until his retirement in 1982. He returned to Hastings, Nebraska where he was General Manger of Queen City Downs, Building Manger of Hastings Medical Park and in the office of the Y.M.C.A. He was past Potentate of Tehama Temple, 50 year member of Kiwanis International and a George D. Hixson Fellow. He was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral and a vestry man.
