August Lutkemeier

Hastings resident, August Lutkemeier, 96, died Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at Fairview Manor, Fairmont, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, November 30, 2002; 10:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Carl W. Utley officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

August Lutkemeier was born February 28, 1906 on the family farm near Campbell, Nebraska to August Sr. & Sophia (Buerger) Lutkemeier. On February 28, 1930, he married Lucille Adler at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Campbell, Nebraska. He was a retired farmer and in the 1950's worked for the USDA in Adams County as a field reporter. He moved from the Campbell area to Hastings, Nebraska in 1947. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Hastings, Nebraska, where he was a Deacon and an Elder. He was active with the Fellowship of St. Andrew and Skipper of the Presbyterian Mariners Group.

August Lutkemeier was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters and 5 brothers.
