Barb Frei

Hastings resident, Barb J. Frei, 62, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017, at UC Health Medical Center of the Rockies, Loveland, Colorado.

Services will be Friday, December 8, 2017; 10:30 A.M. at First United Methodist Church, Hastings with Pastor Greg Lindenberger. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Visitation will be Thursday, December 7, 2017; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Barb was born January 16, 1955, in Wagner, South Dakota to Eugene & Alice (Barnard) Homolka. She graduated from Wagner High School and Central Community College in Hastings. Barb married William Frei; they later divorced.

Barb was employed as a district manager for Western and Central Services for Owens Company. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Barb was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Homolka and step-father, Orvin Kafka.
