Barbara Jane Cray, 78, of Haven Home of Kenesaw, died Sunday, May 20, 2001 at Haven Home.
Rosary services will be Tuesday, May 29, 2001; 9:45 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 A.M. with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be Tuesday, May 29, 2001; 1:30 P.M. in Kearney Cemetery, Kearney, Nebraska.
Barbara Jane Cray was born March 19, 1923 in Holdrege, Nebraska to Glen & Cleo (Rager) Wiser. At an early age, she moved with her parents to Kearney, Nebraska where she attended school and graduated from Kearney High School in 1940. She married Paul Cray on November 24, 1945 in St. James Church in Kearney and he preceded her in death on June 13, 1981. They moved from Kearney to Hastings, Nebraska in 1952. She started working for St. Michael's Catholic Schools food service in 1955 until 1960. She moved from Hastings to Kenesaw, Nebraska in 1994. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and a past member of St. Cecilia's Altar Society.
Barbara Jane Cray was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Paul, and 2 brothers, Harold and Jack Wiser.
