Beatrice Zach

Hastings resident, Beatrice Elaine Zach, 86, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 23, 2011; 10:30 A.M. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hastings with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Sunday, May 22, 2011; 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. with the family present at the funeral home, and 1 hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Michael's Catholic Church or Good Samaritan Village.

Beatrice Elaine Zach went home to be with her Lord surrounded by her loving husband and family. She was born April 19, 1925 in Wynot, Nebraska. She grew up in Bancroft, Nebraska. On June 7, 1947 she was united in marriage with Edward Michael Zach. To this union was blessed with 11 children; Deanna, Michael, Renee, Mark, Mary, Nola, Nancy, David, Rodney, Charles and Sonya. Left to treasure her memory is her husband, children and their spouses, 40 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy in life was the time spent with her family. Elaine was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was an exceptional baker and homemaker. She opened her heart and home to all. She never knew a stranger. Her entire life was given in service for others. In her presence you always knew unconditional love and acceptance. Many will greatly miss her including her two sisters, Madelyn and Norene and other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death was her brother, Maurice Steinhoff.
