Roseland resident, Bernard L. Parr, 83, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society - Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
Rosary will be Monday, October 13, 2014; 7:30 P.M. and Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, October 14, 2014; 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Roseland, with Father Thomas Brouillette officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery, Assumption, Nebraska. Visitation will be Sunday, October 12, 2014; 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M., Monday, October 13, 2014; 9:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the rosary and mass at the church. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
Bernard L. Parr was born November 3, 1930 to Peter & Bertha (Bonifas) Parr. He graduated from Roseland High School in Roseland, Nebraska. Bernard married Madeline Horton on January 23, 1951 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseland. He was a farmer, sold irrigation pipe for Hastings Irrigation, and was a Pioneer Seed Corn salesman for 31 years. Bernard was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseland and a member of Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree.
Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Meinard & Don, sisters; Marie Klein, Marilyn Hupf, and Eileen Blythe.
