Berniece Grabowski

Hastings resident, Berniece M. Grabowski, 88, of 1323 North Colorado, died Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 3, 2006; 2:30 P.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be Saturday, March 4, 2006; 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Beatrice, Nebraska.

Ms. Grabowski was born July 13, 1917 in Chester, Nebraska to William E. & Lyla V. (Wallace) Mulch. She graduated from Hubbell High School, Hubbell, Nebraska and attended business college in Casper, Wyoming. On May 31, 1941, she married Donald E. Grabowski in Beatrice, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1976. They moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1941 and she was a sales representative for Geyerman's Clothing Store and Beeline Fashions. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Altar Society, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and volunteered at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital and delivered Meals on Wheels. In October 1981, she married Paul Yetman and they later divorced.

Ms. Grabowski was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald E. Grabowski, an infant son, Donald Jr., four brothers and one sister.
