Beth Kellar

May 25, 1910 — November 7, 2008

Hastings resident, Beth I. Kellar, 98, of 1115 N. Lexington, died Monday, October 20, 2008 after a brief illness at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Memorial services will be Saturday, November 8, 2008; 11:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Russell Malchow officiating. Private family committal service will be in Parkview Cemetery. Book signing with family present Friday, November 7, 2008; 7:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. Memorials may be given to the Beth I. Kellar Memorial Fund.

Mrs. Kellar was born May 25, 1910 in Franklin, Nebraska to Jess & Ada (Carnahan) Naden. She graduated from Franklin High School and attended Doane College. On December 31, 1941, she married Loyle (Bob) Kellar in Chicago, Illinois where Beth was working for the University of Chicago. They relocated to Hastings in 1947. Loyle (Bob) preceded her in death on August 28, 1977. Following Bob's death, Beth was a housemother for Mary Lanning School of Nursing. She was a current member of First Presbyterian Church and a former member of The First congregational Church of Franklin, Nebraska, a member of the Franklin and Adams County Historical Society.

Mrs. Kellar was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Loyle (Bob); daughter, Jane Koerwitz and brother and sister-in-law, Doyt and Esther Naden and brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Esther Naden and other relatives, Wayne and Ruth Kinsey.

Sister-in-law: Betty Kellar - Pensacola, FL

Beth is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, who have provided her with countless hours of pleasure and companionship.
