Betty Richardson

Hastings resident, Betty Jean Richardson, 81, of Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Village, died Monday, February 7, 2005 at Perkins Pavilion.

Memorial graveside services and burial will be Saturday, February 12, 2005; 11:00 A.M. Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Neil Vik officiating.

Mrs. Richardson was born September 5, 1923 in Hastings, Nebraska to Harvey & Anna Barbara (Lanz) Nispel She graduated from Hastings High School, Hastings, Nebraska in 1941 and attended Hastings College. She went to California to help with the war effort during WWII and returned to Hastings. She married Levon Gordon 'Skeet' Richardson on November 25, 1945 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on December 13, 1985. She was a homemaker and a para professional at Longfellow Elementary School. She also worked for the J.M. McDonalds Department Store and later a live in resident assistant for Martin Luther Homes, all in Hastings, Nebraska. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Levon 'Skeet'; two brothers, Donald & LaVerne Nispel and one sister; Darlene 'Dolly'.

Scott & Cathy Richardson - Lincoln, NE
5 Grandchildren
