Betty Valentine

Hastings resident, Betty Jane Valentine, 80, of 1235 No. California, died Friday, April 22, 2005 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Tuesday, April 26, 2005; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Frank Kerkemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Valentine was born October 26, 1924 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Karl & Doris (Vanderlip) Wolfe. She lived at Belleville, Kansas before moving to Pryor, Oklahoma, where she graduated from high school. In 1943, she moved to Hastings, Nebraska and on April 19, 1944, she married Merwyn B. Valentine. She worked for Jack & Jill grocery store as a meat wrapper for 25 years. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church and The Order Of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Valentine was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Doris Carol Burgett and a brother, Walter Wolfe.
