Beverly Coats

Rural Juniata resident, Beverly R. Coats, 78, of 2770 N. Liberty Ave., died Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at her home in the company of her children.

Services will be Friday, September 19, 2003; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Tom Murray officiating. Burial will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, Nebraska.

Beverly R. Coats was born August 20, 1925 in Hastings, Nebraska to Earl L. & Nellie Mae (Gish) Gangwish. She graduated from Juniata High School in 1942 and immediately enrolled at Kearney State College where she received her teaching degree. On January 22, 1946 she married William C. Coats of Juniata, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on March 18, 2002. Beverly was an active member of the Juniata Community Church, American Legion Auxiliary, years of substitute teaching, Sunday School teacher, 4-H leader, Adams County Extension Club, a dedicated mother and a wonderful friend to many. She was a homemaker and loved bowling, horse shows, baseball games and the annual Las Vegas trips with her husband..

Beverly Coats was preceded in death by her parents, husband William C. Coats, one son Jack Coats, one daughter Jean Coats, one granddaughter Theresa Jeys and four brothers.
