Hastings resident, Bill Edward Delay, 66, of 415 West 9th St., died Friday, February 11, 2005 at University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska.
Requiem Eucharist will be Tuesday, February 15, 2005; 2:00 P.M. at Saint Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral with The Very Rev. Richard J. Martindale officiating. Burial with Military Rites and Masonic Rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Mr. Delay was born July 9, 1938 in Guide Rock, Nebraska to Earl Edward & Amelia (Boom) Delay. He graduated from Guide Rock High School in 1956. He served in the United States Air Force in Texas and Germany from 1960 to March 31, 1963. He graduated from Lincoln Barber College, Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a barber for over 40 years and was self employed at City Slickers Barber Shop at the time of his death. He was a life long area resident and a member of Saint Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, Mid-West Lodge 317 A.F. & A.M. and Blue Lodge. He was a past member of Tehama Shrine and Scottish Rite. He was an avid hunter until 1998 and was a cancer survivor.
Mr. Delay was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ardean Delay.
