Billie Gangwish

Hastings resident, Billie J. Gangwish, 90, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, December 4, 2015; 10:00 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings with Pastor Cindy Karges and Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata. Memorials may be given to Grace United Methodist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, December 3, 2015; 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. with family present 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Billie was born August 20, 1925 in Hastings, Nebraska to Earl & Nellie (Gish) Gangwish. He married Dorothy "June" Olson on November 21, 1948; she preceded him in death on January 31, 2010. Billie worked at Friends & Sidles as a parts manager. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Christian Builders Sunday School Class, and was a former Optimist. Billie was a master wood craftsman.

Billie was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy "June" Gangwish; brothers, Donald, Glen, Howard, Harlow, Richard and LaVern; twin sister, Beverly Coats; and sister, Evelyn Berg.
