Billy Simmons

Former Hastings resident, Billy C. Simmons, 76, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Sumner Place Nursing Home in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Memorial Graveside Service will be at the Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, Nebraska at a later date. There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation has already taken place. Memorials may be sent to family.

Billy was born June 21, 1941 in Clarksville, Virginia to Richard Franklin & Jessie Belle (Wilson) Simmons. Billy served in the U.S. Air Force from September 1960 to March 1964 when he moved to Hastings Nebraska.

Billy worked for the Hastings Police Department and Adams County Sheriff's Department for many years and also attended various law enforcement classes and seminars.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jessie L Simmons; granddaughter, Amber Utter; five brothers; three sisters; and great-granddaughter, Khloie Ewing.
