Hastings resident, Blanche E. Fischer, 93, passed away Friday, November 16, 2012 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.
Services will be Monday, November 19, 2012; 10:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Paul Warneke officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Sunday, November 18, 2012; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and visitation one hour prior to service at church.
Blanche was born March 11, 1919 in Hastings, Nebraska to Charles & Leona M. (Buskirk) Dewey. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1937. Blanche married Otto John Christian Fischer on July 16, 1946 in Hastings; he preceded her in death on May 31, 1983. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women's Missionary League. Blanche lived in South Dakota for 13 years.
Blanche was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otto Fischer; infant son; sisters, Doris Riley and Shirley Stone; and brothers, Richard Dewey, Charles Dewey, and Dale Dewey.
