Hastings resident, Bonnie Ann Theesen, 87, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Sutton Community Home, Sutton, Nebraska.
Services will be Saturday, July 24, 2010; 10:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, July 22, 2010; 5:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., Friday, July 23, 2010; 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and 1 hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Nebraska Kidney Foundation or Sutton Community Home.
Bonnie was born September 22, 1922 in Adams County, Nebraska to Elmer S. & Anna H. (Fricke) Rosenau. She graduated from Hastings High School. On October 26, 1941 she married Charles J. Theesen, Sr. He preceded her in death on August 2, 2001. She was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress for Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. Her activities included gardening, camping, fishing, square dancing, and sewing.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles J. Theesen, Sr.; grandson, Jon D. Stones; son-in-law, Richard L. Speth; former son-in-law, Arnold "Ted" Thuman; sisters, Eleanor Mohrlang, Mildred Buhr, and Evelyn Motley; and brothers, Raymond Rosenau and Orville Rosenau.
