Brent Schleeman

Kenesaw resident, Brent Allen Schleeman, 49, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017, at his home.

Services will be Wednesday, December 13, 2017; 10:30 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Paul Duffy officiating. The family requests casual attire be worn to the services. Burial will be in Kenesaw Cemetery, Kenesaw. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Monday, December 11, 2017; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 12, 2017; 9:00 A.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 5:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Brent was born August 22, 1968, in Benkelman, Nebraska to Gwenn McDonald. He graduated from Benkelman High School. Brent married Kristina "Kristy" Thomas on August 30, 1997. He was employed as a press operator for Dutton Lainson. Brent was a volunteer fireman for Kenesaw Volunteer Fire Department and Hastings Rural Fire Department. Being a fireman was Brent's life and was very important to him. He enjoyed hunting and Husker football. Brent enjoyed spending quality time with his daughter, especially hunting and teaching her how to shoot.

Brent was preceded in death by his uncle, Ken McDonald and mother-in-law, Kay Thomas.
