Bruce Bauer

Hastings resident, Bruce Allen Bauer, 60, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the VA Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska.

Private family graveside services with military rites will be held at Parkview Cemetery, in Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. There will be a book signing Wednesday, July 14, 2010; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. at Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home.

Bruce was born May 14, 1950 in Hastings, Nebraska to Robert L. Bauer, Sr. & Barbara L. (Lucas) Bauer. He graduated from Hastings High School and attended Central Community College in Hastings. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a successful detail operator at Diamond Detail in Hastings, and was a member of the V.F.W., Disabled American Veterans, and the American Legion. Bruce was also a monthly contributor to the Crystal Cathedral. Bruce passed into the loving arms of his Lord & Savior and was welcomed by his mother and father. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents.

Numerous extended family in Hastings, Fort Worth, and Wichita
