Calvin Stutzman

Hastings resident, Calvin "Cal" E. Stutzman, 89, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at Heritage Communities-College View Assisted Living, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Thursday, August 18, 2016; 11:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Samuel R. Rathod officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Cal was born August 4, 1927 in Milford, Nebraska to Aaron & Lena (Sutter) Stutzman. He married Raye Erickson on July 1, 1947 in Seward, Nebraska. Cal opened Dial Heating and Air with his brother-in-law, Virgil Erickson in 1964 before retiring in 1993. He loved to play cards, play practical jokes, Ping Pong, gambling, living on the farm, and being outdoors. He also loved socializing with family and friends.

Cal was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; infant daughter, Terri; and daughter-in-law, Mary Stutzman.
