Carl Fitzke

Former Fairfield area resident, Carl A. Fitzke, 96, died Sunday, June 29, 2003 at Gateway Manor, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Services will be Thursday, July 3, 2003; 10:30 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Glenvil, Nebraska with Pastor Bernie Ward-Crixell. Burial will be in Glenvil Cemetery, Glenvil, Nebraska.

Carl A. Fitzke was born February 12, 1907 in Clay County, near Fairfield, Nebraska, to William & Johanna (Ocker) Fitzke. On October 2, 1931, he married Doris Warren in Belleville, Kansas and she preceded him in death on November 21, 1991. They farmed near Fairfield until his retirement. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Glenvil, a life member of Clay County Historical Society, and a past member of the Clay County Garden Club. He moved to Lincoln, Nebraska in 1996.

Carl A. Fitzke was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Doris (Warren) Fitzke,1 daughter, Jenelle Wicker, 3 brothers and 2 granddaughters.
