Glenvil resident, Carl G. Murman, 88, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
Services will be Monday, April 4, 2016; 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, west of Glenvil with Pastor Renee Johnson officiating. Burial with military rites by Glenvil American Legion will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Churchyard Cemetery, west of Glenvil. Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Glenvil Fire & Rescue. Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, 2016; 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.
Carl was born August 19, 1927 in Glenvil, Nebraska to Wessel & Grace (Memmen) Murman. He graduated from Glenvil High School and served in the U.S Army. Carl married Rena Shafer on August 23, 1953. He worked as a farmer for many years and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and American Legion in Glenvil.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Menno; sisters, Hermina Stromer, Freida Ocker, and Mary Lou Harms; and brother-in-law, Milton Ferebee.
