Long time Hastings resident, Carl H. Wagner, 95, of Homestead Health Care, Lincoln, Nebraska, died Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at Homestead Health Care.

Services will be Saturday, July 20, 2002, 10:30 A.M. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Carl H. Wagner was born December 28, 1906 in Frank, Russia to John & Anna M. (Ginter) Wagner. He immigrated to the United States with his family at 6 months of age and grew up in Hastings, Nebraska. On August 30, 1935, he married Florence Mildred Morris of Cozad, Nebraska. He was a carpenter in Beatrice, Payette, Idaho, Scottsbluff, Grand Island and Hastings, Nebraska. He worked at Central Community College from July 1966 until his retirement in June 1974. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hastings, Nebraska and NARFE.

Carl H. Wagner was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Wilbur and a sister, Mary Ann Ruble.

Memorial may be given to First United Methodist Church or International Foundation of the American Historical Society of Germans From Russia (IFAHSGR) in Lincoln, Nebraska
