Carol Hurst

Hastings resident, Carol J. Hurst, 76, passed away Monday, May 14, 2012 at her home, Hastings, Nebraska.

The remains will be cremated. There will be a Celebration of Life and family visitation on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Marble home, 5402 Randolph Circle, from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Arrangements were made at the direction of the deceased. Memorials may be given to Adams County Salvation Army, Hastings YMCA Silver Sneakers Program, or Mary Lanning Hospice.

Carol was born December 13, 1935 in Onawa, Iowa to Mel & Mary V. (Jagoe) Kious. She graduated from Doniphan High School in 1953, and attended business school in San Diego, California. On July 14, 1956 she married Harold C. Hurst; he preceded her in death on June 11, 2009. She enjoyed working for "her doctors" and their patients at the Physicians Building for over 30 years, and attended the Evangelical Free Church in Hastings. Carol was a devoted and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold C. Hurst; and brother, Frank Hill.
