Former Hastings resident, Carol Elizabeth Miller Lantz, 64, of Thousand Oaks, California died Monday, July 6th, 2009 at Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.

Rosary will be Monday, July 13, 2009; 7:00 P.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, July 14th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Hastings, Nebraska with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Carol was born August 15th, 1944 in Hastings, Nebraska, attended and graduated from St. Cecilia High School. On August 18th, 1965 she married James R. Lantz and over the years resided in Laramie, Wyoming, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Billings, Montana, and Placentia, California and since 1990 in Thousand Oaks, California. Carol loved life and being with her friends and family. She was active in the Newcomers Club and past President of The Conejo Valley Encore Club; she served on the board in recent years and was active in many Encore activities including luncheons, hiking, Cinema Chicks, etc. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and any activity that kept her hands busy.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Louis, Ralph and Daniel Miller.
