Catherine Rutt

Hastings resident, Catherine E. Rutt, 65, passed away Monday, May 2, 2016 at her home.

Services will be Friday, May 6, 2016; 2:00 P.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday, May 5, 2016; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, and one hour prior to service at the church.

Catherine was born June 7, 1950 in Hastings, Nebraska to Elmer & Dorothy (Hollingsworth) Marcotte. She attended Hastings High School and married Donald Rutt on November 24, 1967. Catherine worked and retired from Thermo King after 26 years, and was co-owner of Don Rutt Plumbing & Heating from 1992 to present. She became office manager of the family business after she retired. Catherine was baptized in the Lutheran church.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John; nephew, Ryan; and niece, Brooke.
