Cecil J. Jackson, Sr., 89, of 1711 Bateman, died Thursday, September 25, 2003 in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Services will be Friday, October 3, 2003; 1:30 P.M. at Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene with Rev. David L. Speicher officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Cecil J. Jackson, Sr. was born October 11, 1913 in Esmond, South Dakota to Fred & Ethel (Strickler) Jackson. He married Esther H. Garbers on April 10, 1939 and she preceded him in death on March 11, 2002. They moved from Columbus, Nebraska to Hastings, Nebraska in 1942. He worked for the Civilian Conservation Corp, at the Naval Ammunition Depot and from 1943 to 1978, he was a foreman at Dutton-Lainson Company. Cecil also did tree trimming in Hastings. He was a very active member of the Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed traveling in his recreational vehicle and fishing.
Cecil J. Jackson, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, wife Esther, three grandchildren, one great granddaughter, one sister and one brother.
