Holstein resident Charles E. Gentert, 17, of 17015 S. Winchester Avenue, died Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the Nebraska Heart Institute Hospital, Lincoln, Nebraska.
Rosary will be Sunday, May 20, 2007; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Funeral Home, Hastings, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 21, 2007; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Father Larry Gyhra officiating. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery, Roseland, Nebraska. Visitation will be Friday, May 18, 2007; 3pm-9pm, Saturday, May 19, 2007; 9am-9pm, Sunday, May 20, 2007; 1pm-9pm at the funeral home & Monday, May 21, 2007; 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to the family.
Mr. Gentert was born July 30, 1989 in Minden, Nebraska to Eugene 'Gene' & Annette (Stewart) Gentert. He attended Holstein & Silver Lake Schools and also Central Community College. He loved to work in farming and enjoyed 4 wheelers, tractors & combines. He attended St. Ann's Catholic Church, Campbell, Nebraska.
Mr. Gentert was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Charles O. Gentert & Bruce Stewart.
