Charles Harrold

Charles R. Harrold, 55, of 1001 Martin, Hastings, Nebraska, died Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Saturday, December 1, 2001; 2:00 P.M. at First Christian Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Judith Allen officiating. Private family interment at a later date.

Charles R. Harrold was born December 9, 1945 in Bloomington, Illinois to Ross & Alice (Bottrell) Harrold. In 1964, he graduated from high school in Wapella, Illinois. He graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois in 1968. On June 10, 1967, he married Martha Ellis in Wapella, Illinois. After graduating, he worked for Illinois Foundation Seeds in Champaign, Illinois from 1968-1974. From 1974-1984, he worked for Edward J. Funk & Sons as product manager at Kentland, Indiana. He was a founding partner of Ag Venture, Inc in Kentland, Indiana from 1984-1986. He moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1986 and was Manager of Operations for NC+ Hybrids until his retirement in 2001. He was a member of Covenant Federated Church in Kentland, Indiana and American Seed Trade Association. He was also a member of Masonic #50, A.F. & A.M., Scottish Rites, Elks Lodge and Southern Hills Golf, all in Hastings, Nebraska.

Charles R. Harrold was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

His wife, Martha Harrold - Hastings, NE, a son Adam Harrold - Lincoln, NE, Daughter & Son-in-law, Penny Harrold de Gonzalez & Jorge Gonzalez- Monterrey, Mexico,Grandson, Jorge Antonio Gonzalez Harrold - Monterrey, Mexico, Sister: Carol Harrold - Hastings, NE and Roy Harrold - Clinton, Illinois

Memorial maybe given to Family's Choice
Butler-Volland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sat. 12-1-01; 9am-noon all at the funeral home
Sat. 12-1-01; 1 hr. prior to service at the church
