Ashton, Nebraska resident, Charles Morse, 80, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
Memorial services will be Friday, September 21, 2012; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation; book signing will be Thursday, September 20, 2012; 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M. and Friday, September 21, 2012; 9:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
Charles was born May 5, 1932 in Grand Island, Nebraska to Lester & Esther (Boettcher) Morse. He graduated from Grand Island Senior High. Charles married Darcilla "Dee" Cabler on June 10, 1951 at First Christian Church in Grand Island, Nebraska. He worked at Rainbow Bakery in Grand Island for 33 years and was a custodian at Walnut Junior High until his retirement.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and sister-in-law, Lealatrice Gustin.
