Charles Theesen, Jr.

Former Hastings resident Charles “Chuck” Theesen, Jr., 62, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018, at Manning, ND.

Memorial Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 29, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Pastor Ray Druckenmiller officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. There will be no viewing or visitation. There will be a Celebration of Life Service in Manning, North Dakota at a later date.

Chuck was born December 28, 1955, in Hastings, NE to Charles Sr. & Bonnie (Rosenau) Theesen. He graduated from Adams Central High School and later received his certification in welding. Chuck married Nancy Ann Harris on June 11, 1997.

Chuck was employed as a welder. He was a member of First St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.  Chuck was an avid outdoorsman and skilled tradesman. He loved activities such as hunting, fishing, gardening, riding motorcycles, yard games or even just going for a walk and watching birds with his morning coffee. Chuck was a loving father and husband that would do just about anything to help when asked. He was straightforward and maybe blunt at times, but you knew where you stood with Chuck. Chuck will be missed dearly.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Charlene Storant.
