Charles Witt

Doniphan resident, Charles R. Witt, 88, died Monday, February 20, 2006 at Hamilton Manor, Aurora, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Thursday, February 23, 2006; 7:30 P.M. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Doniphan, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, February 24, 2006; 10:00 A.M. at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Father Steven Major officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Witt was born August 20, 1917 in Washington County, Colorado to Charles W. & Mabel B. (Hunter) Witt. He graduated from Shickley High School, Shickley, Nebraska. In July of 1939, he married Eileen Yettman and she preceded him in death in August of 1979. He moved to Hansen in 1942 and was owner/operator of Hansen Grain Company, retiring in 1976. He moved into Doniphan, Nebraska in 1979. In 1980, he married Erma (Mueller) Matzke in Doniphan and she preceded him in death on November 1, 2001. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, all in Doniphan, Nebraska. In 2004, he moved to Hamilton Manor, Aurora, Nebraska.

Mr. Witt was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Eileen (Yettman) Witt & Erma
(Mueller) Matzke Witt; three brothers and four sisters.

Memorial may be given to St. Ann's Catholic Church, Senior Center-Doniphan, Tabitha Hospice-Grand Island or Family's Choice

VISITATION: Wed. 2-22-06; 5pm-9pm with family present at the Doniphan Visitation Chapel
Thur. 2-23-06; 6pm-9pm at St. Ann's Catholic Church
Fri. 2-24-06; 1 hr. prior to service at St. Ann's Catholic Church
