Hastings resident, Charlotte Ellermeier, 94, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
There will be a private family service and will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to Good Samaritan Village.
Charlotte was born July 31, 1915 to Ray J. & Bertha (Bornemeiner) Kissinger. She attended and graduated from Glenvil High School. She attended and received an elementary teacher's certificate from Kearney State Teacher's College. She taught rural school at Hanover. In 1939 she married Glen E. Ellermeier. They farmed in the Glenvil community until 1956, and moved to Salina, Kansas. In 1958 they moved to Holdrege and in 1961 to McCook where she worked for Jack & Jill and Safeway stores. In 1964 they purchased the Nebraskan Trailer Court which she managed until 1970. In 1972 they purchased the Rainbow Motel which she managed. In 1976 they purchased the Oak Park Motel in Lincoln, Nebraska which she also managed. In 1980 they moved to Glenvil. In 1984 they retired and moved to Good Samaritan Village. Her husband passed away in 1998. She was brought up in the Baptist faith but joined with her husband in the Lutheran faith upon marriage.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glen E. Ellermeier; and sister, Doris.
